iask Sister Buddy Groups will resume in March/April 2010 throughout the DC Metro Region, and Northeast Corridor. New chapters will kick off in Southwest Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Texas, California, Georgia, Alabama, & South Carolina.
The 2010 suggested reading for buddy groups is titled, “The Little Black Book of Success: Laws of Leadership for Black Women” (Random House). iask will host a video conference/ audio call with the three authors of this wonderful book of life wisdoms in the late Spring of 2010 or as their schedule permits.
Buddy Group Captains will be contacted next week so that they can choose meeting dates and locations for their members. Buddy groups may have no more than 10-12 members. You must be a dues paying member of iask to join a buddy group. However, you can attend a buddy group at the invitation of an iask member without being a member at least one time at the discretion of the Captain.
Buddy Groups are also asked to purchase a copy of the DVD “The Glow Project” and use it as a discussion forum, 2010 kick off for our 2010 theme “Restore Your Glow”. Videos can be purchased through the “Glow Project” website at: www.glowproject.org.
